Scott Mercer is an artist who draws inspiration from nature and everyday life. He lives with his wife, Renee, on Big Blake Lake, near Luck, Wisconsin.

The lake, changing seasons, and surrounding wildlife shape both his artwork and daily life. Scott studied graphic design at the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point, where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts. He set painting aside for many years, but after moving to the lake during the pandemic, he rediscovered his passion. Since 2021, he has focused on acrylic painting, teaching himself through steady practice. His recent work captures the essence of summer—light on water, vibrant garden colors, and simple moments worth noticing.
